Anyone know of any performance (stiffer) aftermarket engine/trans mounts for XD's? I just feel mine are wearing out and I wanted something a bit more aggressive.

I believe you can get some poly motor mounts to replace the OEM rubber ones from energysuspensions, sharkracing, etc. Or you can do a poly-fill on your old ones. The mounts will be stiffer but you will get ALOT more vibrations. So I would try doing one at at time (front or rear) before going to all 4.

Might want to try this
http://sfrusa.3dcartstores.com/New-Tiburon...-Kit_p_151.html Should help to reduce the engine rock while not causing as much vibration like poly mounts. Its on my list to order when do the timing belt kit. -------------------- |

I've got the sf torque dampener. It's hard for me to say how much it's decreased the engine rock (since I've had it for so long but I felt when I got it I did feel less power was loss). I have a mild vibration but nothing irritating (and it could just because I'm over 100k and my car is showing it's age).
Aggressive as in not rubber (a solid material) which absorbs less vibration but moves less so your engine moves less and so you lose less hp from the engine shifting (which causes your hp not to go to your wheels) -------------------- A proud member of the club.

grab the energy suspension $15 poly mount insert for the 03+ tiburon. it fits the elantra perfectly and works great at reducing engine movement. it installs into the lower transmission roll mount underneath the car at the rear of the subframe.
link to part that fits. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ptp-28-5...QcW-RoCB2rw_wcB This post has been edited by kevinatfms: Aug 12 2014, 09:32 AM -------------------- 2003 Elantra GLS 5 speed

thats an Awesome pic... but whats an agressive trans mount? they dont really do nothing agressive... kind of docile and passive if u ask me Thanks about the pic. Yes, motor mounts are "passive" in nature; however, you are not understanding the metaphor I used. In my original post the word aggressive refers back to where I stated that I was looking for a stiffer mount. (Take a moment now and re-read it) Instead of using the word "stiffer" again, I supplanted it with another word. You are looking at the word aggressive in an active form. Aggressive dog, aggressive growth however it can also be applied to things that by themselves can not move, grow, etc... Aggressive stocks in the stock market Aggressive suspension setting in your car Aggressive sandpaper cut I believe you can get some poly motor mounts to replace the OEM rubber ones from energysuspensions, sharkracing, etc. Or you can do a poly-fill on your old ones. The mounts will be stiffer but you will get ALOT more vibrations. So I would try doing one at at time (front or rear) before going to all 4. I have ES mounts in my track car (all four) and to be honest, it's not that bad. The only time I notice it is at idle -especially with the more aggressive (there's that word again) cam I'm running. In the XD I only plan to do the front and rear. -------------------- 1992 Sentra SE-R 5M/T Track Car 66K org miles, org owner!

Not to hijack the thread, but who sells decent OEM equivalent engine and tranny mounts (other than Hyundai, of course)?
