I have a 2003 Elantra gls which I drove off the lot brand new in NJ with only 7 miles on the odometer, so I know her entire history.She now has 60K miles and has developed the dreaded flex pipe leak.Here's my dilemma. I've had no issues with my 2005 Elantra (120K miles) and i must say I haven't taken really good care of it really, i know shame on me! But lately when shifting from 2nd to 3rd (automatic transmission) the whole car seems to jerk and shake, plus you feel it accelerate more than usual. The reverse collar on my shifter sticks up at the top when shifting out of reverse. Shouldn't it self-release and go back down? I have to push it back down, although it doesn't take any effort. I thought I'd try some graphite or silicone spray to see if that would help. Sure makes for interesting shifting if I forget to push it back dow... ... [ Read more]

I recently replaced the original flex pipe on my 2002 Elantra (with 102K miles) after getting codes P0139 and P0133 CEL errors. I had also replaced both front and rear oxygen sensors with NTKs from Rockauto.
