silicone radiator hoses Options

I need to report that I have had a problem. Its only with the upper hose and the clamp that I reused. I was at my garage doing work on my project foxbody and just to check the Hyundai out I popped the hood. I first noticed the puss looking coolant sitting on the top of the transmission and found the leak at the upper radiator hose. Little did I notice that the clamp was flat missing and the hose was torn at the opening. im assuming the clamp failed a cut the hose enough to cause a leak.
I bought a new upper hose from rockauto.com and had to install that. My lower hose is still 100% and working as it should. Since the upper was modified by me, OBX will not warranty the hose itself(which I understand fully). So for now I will only have the lower silicone hose.

I still think this is a great mod but I suggest to replace all clamps with the new worm gear clamps to make sure you don't have a failure.
