hey guys...(and chica's if any on here)

thanks for all that advice on my other question, now I have another one. from what I can see there arnt too many colors on the CAI system. is there anyway I can paint it?? I want a specific color , do you think I could special order it from the company in the color I want?

You could paint it. That will be very difficult to make look good. Better to look into getting it powder coated. It will probably be around $50 to have it done.

I had an email from Harbor Freight tools on a powder coat gun that costs about $60. Not sure how easy or effective it may be, but seems affordable to DIY. You will need an air compressor with it.

You will also need an oven in a well vented area. Parts must be heated to over 400 degrees and the oven can no longer be used for cooking food because of the fumes from the powdercoat. Besides that, great stuff.
You can paint them if you want to. Sand the pieces a little to help ensure the paint sticks properly. I used engine paint. This will stand up to the heat and oil better and if you get the high temp paint with ceramic particals, it will also help keep the heat out of the pipe.
You can get it powder coated also, $50 sounds about right.
