My car is an Australian model and it came with a completely different stereo to the US and most of the rest of the world. Here the factory stereo is a single DIN with a pocket underneath. You can see the factory pocket in the last photo I posted.
The US model has the radio itself separate to the controls with a piece of trim between. To install a double DIN unit you would need to remove the piece of trim from between them, making it into one big opening. To install a kit from the US in my car I had to shape the kit a lot with a dremel as it wasn't quite the same shape as the opening I have. It was very frustrating. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

The one I bought was the Metra 95-7326. The other one is for cars without a radio at all and looks like it is for a more square opening.
Please be aware that none of the kits available seem to fit properly in Elantras with the single DIN radio and large pocket standard. They're all made for the American model cars with the separate radio and controls. To install I had to cut quite a lot off both the car's trim and the install kit with a dremel. There are two bits at the back of the dash trim that the original pocket screws into which had to be removed, then I had to remove the two semi-circle tabs from the bottom sides of the install kit that normally go where the controls stick out to the sides on the American cars, then I had to reshape it to fit in the dash properly as the opening is slightly different. It really wasn't an easy process! There may be an easier way but there is nothing available down here I had to buy the Metra kit off the US eBay site and have it shipped to Australia so I didn't have the luxury of shopping around and looking at what's available. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Looking at the photo from the top of the document you got that image from http://documents.victorytechnologies.com/d...oduct/12388.pdf the opening is almost completely straight and square. The opening in my car is way more curved than that so I still don't think it would be a straight fit for my car at least. I would love to get my hands on a radio delete version of the dash trim.
Nice looking deck, post up some photos if you're able. -------------------- A proud member of the club.
