I have an 06 elantra I have lost both remotes to. I called the dealer and ordered a new key and remote. However how am I supposed to program the remote so I can drive the car? Last time I opened the car with out the romote the alarm went off and it would not stop even when I started the car. Please help me!

The alarm is only set with the remote. So if you lock the car without using the remote, the alarm should not go off. If it does, hop in, put th key in the ignition and turn to the "On" position (NOT start) for 30 seconds. Should do the trick.

BTW, the dealer can program the new remote.
