Which mud guards are you guys putting on your Elantras? I know there are both OEM and aftermarket ones available... any major differences except for the price?

Example of aftermarket for $20 shipped:

Example of OEM ($50 shipped):

The factory mudguards fit nicely are well made and should last the life of the car. Just drop $40 on the part that fits, my dealer charged around $18 per each set.

If you want more traditonal mudflaps look into these instead http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/universal-...9e765b0c0b6765a

thanks... I'm on hold with my local dealer right now trying to confirm stock/pricing... during the wait I found these - not bad price for shipped OEM ($40):

Dealer has them for $40 for the entire set so I'll probably just run down and get those... Anyone know if either the front or rear tires have to be removed to get the mud guards installed?

Install would probably go quicker with tires removed but its not required. You will need a right angle screwdriver for install if the tires are left on.

They shouldn't, they don't stick out past the tire profile. My mpg didn't change after installation

Hyundai Accessory store has them in stock and they're an EC affiliate. Their price is around $53 shipped but if you register with them you can save 11% off the mud guards so it would be around $49.00 shipped from them.

I ordered these from West Broad Hyundai off oboy, and so far I installed 3 out of 4. It got dark and I couldn't get the second plastic retainer out. Since I couldn't find a metal offset #3, I went with a little Craftsman ratcheting set, then got the #3 bits to go with it. Made it a lot easier.

I am really hoping these will help with the black road stuff that gets trapped on the sill, which is oh so obvious with a white car.
