Hello,
I know most people here drives US EXD 2.0L, which has cruise control, Unfortunatelly, my car has not this useful option. and I'm thinking to buy and install this, if you know - please explain me couple questions: 1. what is the set of cruise control parts? I know only unit on right front strut. other parts? 2. is it possible for manual transmission? 3. does this require to re-flash ECU? thanks This post has been edited by Ernst Maurer: Aug 29 2010, 03:14 AM -------------------- A proud member of the club.

I'm not too sure on the parts, but I do know that it is possible for a manual transmission (my 02 GT had it with a 5spd, and my 5spd Mazda has it as well). I don't think a reflash would be needed, but then again I have never added Cruise Control to a car before. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge can step in on this.

I'm almost certain no reflash needed, the logic is built into the cruise control module.
You will need the inside switch to activate cruise ;its build into the direction signal stock if I remember correctly. So the cluster with both stalks would be needed. Your wire harness may have the necessary pigtails on it already ; the wiring may be plug and play. Remove part of the dash and look for the spare unused plugs on your harness. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

I thought about doing this for about 5 seconds...then I read up on it. Apparently it's more trouble than it's worth.

Only way to do it is with aftermarket cruise control. If you try with stock parts, it is very expensive, junk yard or new.
