NAPA Auto Parts (610) 286-0065 - 108 Mulberry Ct, Morgantown, PA They should carry caliper paint...fairly cheap. Any if you are unable to paint the calipers yourself (hard to remove?) you could probably go to a local shop that will charge u cheap to do it....Ask around. Good luck! -------------------- A proud member of the club.

I thought it might look bright (granted mine is on a black car) but once it went on it wasn't nearly as bright as I thought it would be. Ideally I wanted a deep maroon color, but the red really wasn't too bad. Plus once a little brake dust gets on they look much darker. I never did look into whether I could get a custom color, so I'm not sure where you could get one or how much it would cost? -------------------- Please consider helping keep the club online and independent. I used the high heat red gloss on mine. Came out pretty decent. Took one rim off at a time and filled in the holes with news paper/paper towels and blue paper taped the discs and covered the lugs with a walmart plastic bag (yeah I shop at Walmart). I only wanted to paint the caliper. I left all the nooks and crannys alone and just painted the exposed parts of the calipers. Cover that little hole on the top of the caliper too. You don't want any paint dripping in there(who knows were that goes). Try to cover the pads and those little metal clips really good too. No primer or sanding required.
I did one caliper at a time and then put the rim back on. The rims isn't suppose to touch the caliper anyway and if it does then you have a problem. With the rim back on, the calipers will just take time to dry and cure and you can move on to the next wheel. I started at about 9:30pm in my garage and finished all four calipers at around midnight then went to sleep. Didn't drive the car for the next 12 hours. I really wouldn't worry about getting the right shade. Perhaps they sell different rattle can colors at the auto parts store. I used the high heat spray can and was pretty happy with the outcome. Others may recommend the "caliper" spray paint or perhaps something different. Perhaps see what the shop will charge to have them powder coated same color as your body if you want that specific color but that could be pricey. For your rims, hhmm I'd probably see if I can take those rims to a shop and have them all painted gloss red same as your body. I would just leave the spokes black. That's only my opinion though and I'm sure other people have different opinions. PS. If you're interested, the Saab 93 Aero lip kit may just fit the HD. I measured it to be both about the same size 85"inches. Don't know if anyone else noticed it but the lip is also poly-urethane as well. No, I haven't done any lip mod yet. When I was at the junkyard last week, I picked up some bigger brakes from an 06 Sonata. I totally forgot to check on Saab 93 Areo lip when I was there. I was too excited about my brake find. If I measured correctly, then that lip should fit almost perfect. Even a brand new one, would cost about $200 something online and they're are poly-urethane too.

Hey Amanda I think your car looks great. Nicely done.
Very sporty looking. Not overdone. The outfit matches nicely as well. If you lived closer I'd have you model my RX7. -------------------- http://www.bikedad.com | BIBLE: Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth "God does not exist" -- Karl Marx | "Karl Marx does not exist" -- God |
