Kia unveiled it's 2011 GT concept and this looks incredible...
QUOTE Motivated by a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 giving 389 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, power for GT is routed through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Suicide doors FTW! -------------------- |

I love the way those front seats curve. Don't know if they're comfortable but they sure look nice.

That is NOT a car, that is a piece of art. I'd keep that locked in the garage and I'd never drive it I love the shape and contour. I dont like those wheels but the girl can compensate for that.
In all honesty, remove the kia badge and people will think it's a super car. Its just beautiful. -------------------- |

I don't know if the comparison to Aston Martin was coincidental or meant because of the resemblance, but I think they over-borrowed design "themes". They (Hyundai/KIA) had gotten away from it with their new models and forged their own image, so I hope they don't go back on it. It's a nice looking car, but the rear end profile strikes me as slightly cut and paste-ish, not from an Aston(although I can see some likeness), but the Jaguar XF.
I know it's a concept and won't be on the street in this form. I just hate it when people look at a Hyundai/Kia and their first thoughts are "Hey, that looks a little like a Mercedes" (the late model Sonatas prior to the NF were notorious for this). Hyundai needs a recoginizable "look" that people associate with the brand and quality. I think that's why my Touring is my favorite Hyundai yet. Doesn't really resemble any other car on the road. -------------------- Check out and vote on my 2010 Elantra Touring:

I could never afford a car above 20 K but hopefully some of the design from this car will trickle down...

Some CGI concept pics and known specs as Mitch has posted - Sadly, the more pictures, details and information I see.... The more I realize I'll never be able to own one
QUOTE Kia debuts their all-new Kia GT concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, carrying with it a striking design and all-new rear-wheel-drive platform. "We wanted to create something similarly graceful, athletic and confident, but not aggressive or overbearing," says Gregory Guillaume, Kia's European design chief. And it's abundantly clear with the introduction of the new Kia GT concept that they have achieved just that. While almost every new Kia design has been created for a front-wheel-drive platform, the new GT concept design has expanded to the rear-wheel-dive realm. While some may take issue with the exterior design of the new Kia GT concept (some displeasure has been voiced over in particular of the headlamp design) there can be no question that what is under the hood is sure to impress. The GT concept is powered by a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6, producing 389 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, with an eight-speed automatic transmission. -------------------- |

I LOVE the suicide doors, but I know that will never happen, because they could never pass the rollover test. What I think we might see is a "4-door sports coupe" with a nice powertrain, some sweet styling, and a hefty tech package. Imagine that concept, toned down, with traditional doors and a pair of real mirrors on it. Still a sweet ride, but... not nearly as badass as the concept.
