Tried a search, but could not find info.
Where is the colour code found?
In the VIN # or a separate plate.

Washing the car today, I noticed a stone chip on the hood.
I'd like to get some touch up paint.
We bought our car, one of the last 2012 Tourings, but we could not choose the colour.
Had to buy what they had.
It looks like a grey metallic.

I checked the colour code this morning, and it says N5S, which is not on the list above.
I will be dropping by a Hyundai dealer this afternoon to see if they have touch up paints.

Got one through the dealer, a two sided "Pen".
One side has the paint in it, Titanium Gray, and the other side of the pen has a clear in it.
Prep area, shake pen like a spray can to mix paint, then push in the tip of the paint end to the surface being painted until the paint flows.
Let if dry for 8 hours IIRC, and then apply clear.

I'll take some pix when I attempt it....

Also check out pepboys. They now carry duplicolor colormatch spray paint. I picked up some ebony black for my car.

Did the touch up today.
Here are some pictures before starting, two little stone chips (found a second) with some rust:

Bought some of this rust remover and prep:

The rust remover says to brush it on and let sit for up to ten minutes, but to not get it on paint. If you do touch paint, wash it off with water.
I used a Q-tip to apply the rust remover, rubbing it into the stone chip, then washed the area with water shortly after as it gets on the paint.
After rust treatment:

A little wash and dry of the area, and now ready for paint.
Touch up paint applicator:

The applicator is shaken to mix, then by pressing the tip in and out a few times to get the paint to start to flow, apply a little paint to the chip area.
Paint applied:

Clear is applied the same way once the paint has dried.
It seemed to make the spots look darker at first, but from across the street you can't notice. wink.gif
Will see how it looks over time.
