Well sort of. tongue.gif

I wanted to add a performance drop-in filter to the SX's stock airbox versus doing a CAI. I originally was going to go with a K&N but went a different route. The limited edition Koup SX-R up in Canada features a custom AEM Dryflow panel performance filter as part of the package so I decided to get one. The problem? They're not available in the US, only Canada. I contacted club moderator Mely and he was able to track one down at a dealer and ship it to me. Thanks Marc. B)

The filter is great. Super high quality and because it's a Dryflow no worries about over oiling. It's also cool because it's a performance part by AEM that come in a KIA part box; no warranty concerns, either. Throttle response seems slightly better as does the top end. Again it's nothing hugely noticeable but it's good to know this is the last filter I'll need for the car. thumbsup.gif

Cool! I figured that you couldn't avoid the modding bug!

Cool Mitch, kinda figured you couldn't wait to mod the new car.

This is actually mod #2. I really like that Ultra Racing strut bar I added.

I feel like that comes stock with everything I'd want to mod.

The rims look great, the exhaust looks great, the interior looks great.

I'm glad that you finally got it and have it installed. Canada Post didn't fail me after all. smile.gif

When I saw what it was... I was a bit tempted to look into seeing if there are any dryflow filters available for the Touring. Not going to lie, I liked my old K&N in my GT but oiling it was a bitch!

That's great news Mitcho!

Canada Post has never failed me! Knock on wood! That is definitely my preferred way of shipping to the US.

Great to hear about the Forte (I was gone for about 6mos). However, did the fact that kia/hyundai moronically integrated the ecu cooling with air intake (like the HD) play any role in keeping you from going full cai? I know there are at least two good companies putting out CAI for the forte. I think this too will be my next car (koup) so I'm trying to learn all I can. BTW there is a pretty good Forte forum out there (forteforum.com) if you are interested.
