G'day everybody,
This is just a quick heads up, so that nobody repeats my mistake. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to order the interior chrome door handles, and the alloy deadpedal (rest pedal, for you US/CA guys reading). kspec picture used because dreamka4u is tight and doesn't allow external linking Unfortunately, when it came time to screw it in, I couldn't work out how it could install to this: Eventually I decided to read the packaging, and lo and behold, it was a LHD deadpedal!! This led to some frantic moments in chat, to be consoled by fellow elantra enthusiasts. I then visited the Hyundai Australia page, and noticed that the Tiburon deadpedal was exactly the same shape as our stock Elantra ones. I immediately contacted dreamka4u to see what my options were, I was hoping that they could hook me up with the correct one, but unfortunately they said 'because we only sell Hyundai Mobis OEM parts, we cannot do this", not a direct quote, but better english. They noted that they would grant me a refund -shipping (just sent off the package few days ago will update) and I was grateful. Then I hit up my local Hyundai dealer, ordered the Tiburon medal deadpedal (PART NUMBER: 32891-2C900) and got it within 2 days. FINALLY after 2 weeks of effort and close to 12 months of visualizing it, (LOL) it's done! note: floor mat removed for installation -------------------- |

I would never have even thought of that before buying them too.
Are the Elantra pedals the same as the Tiburon'? -------------------- 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Active 2.2 CRDi 6spd Auto, Ocean View 2014 Hyundai i30 elite , 1.6 CRDi, 6spd 5dr Hatch, Dazzling Blue 2009 Hyundai i30cw SX 1.6 CRDi 5spd 4dr Wagon, Hyper Silver 2007 Hyundai Getz S 1.4 DOHC 5spd 5dr Hatch, Blue 2005 Hyundai Elantra elit, 2.0HVT 5spd, 4dr Sedan, Ebony Black 1998 Hyundai Excel GX, 1.5 DOHC, 5spd, 3dr Hatch, Red |

It cost $44.92 AUD including GST.
Not exactly a full refund, because I'm out of pocket for shipping from and to Korea. Dean, you'll have NO problems fitting the deadpedal, clutch pedal and brake pedal. However there have been numerous reports that the assembly for the accelerator pedal is different on the 04-05 models compared to the 01-03 pedals. I didn't have a problem, but if/when we meet up it'd be easy to slip it off and see if it fits on yours. |

The original rubber covers are removed first.
Then the brake, clutch and accelerator just slip on or off. There are two bolts which hold in the deadpedal. I look forward to a meet, it'll be great fun! I've never really had a close look at the Elite, except from your pictures. -------------------- |

Sweet, I haven't had a good chance to look at the HVT Elantra either.
If we aim for around the middle of october that would be excellent. Is there anyone else around the area that wants to meet up? say from EXD perhaps? thats so true... btw what is with the Elantra's accelerator pedal being covered with a tacky plastic pedal cover compared to rubber on the clutch and brake...
I'm still trying to visualize the alloy pedals on the elite with leather... I'm not sure if the luxury interior theme will go with alloy pedals Man i'm picky Sorry about the off topic post. -------------------- 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Active 2.2 CRDi 6spd Auto, Ocean View 2014 Hyundai i30 elite , 1.6 CRDi, 6spd 5dr Hatch, Dazzling Blue 2009 Hyundai i30cw SX 1.6 CRDi 5spd 4dr Wagon, Hyper Silver 2007 Hyundai Getz S 1.4 DOHC 5spd 5dr Hatch, Blue 2005 Hyundai Elantra elit, 2.0HVT 5spd, 4dr Sedan, Ebony Black 1998 Hyundai Excel GX, 1.5 DOHC, 5spd, 3dr Hatch, Red |

Just so you know it's true that the 04 and 05 elantra's have a different accelerator pedal, I had the metal pedals from my old coupe and the clutch and brake pedal fit on fine but the accelerator is a different shape and will not fit.
