Dude, you have no idea how true that is... Funny as hell! I know because I live at the border and drive there on a daily basis!

Bigs- that is so on the money, great post.

I honestly forgive drivers with Quebec plates who don't use their turn signal since I just expect it now.

2. Under no circumstance should you maintain a safe distance between you and the car in front of you, because somebody else will fill in the space, putting you in an even more dangerous situation.

The 1st day driving in Montreal I was screaming, "WTF, there isn't even a car length in front of me!"

Great post!

You know, I have drivin many big cities... Toronto is OK, stressful but manageble. Montreal, it's hell! lol Basically, the highways are all bridges and you drive over the city! I went a few months ago and I was following my father in law... I had to change my driving style from semi-agressive to total moronic freak. If you don't cut in, you don't go where you want.

We call that "Jersey style". Common practice with my inlaws.

Just remember to stay in the right lane.

Its faster.

The centre lane is reserved for 18 wheelers.

And you can pass all the mini-vans parked in the passing lane.

He is not exaggerating!! This is absolutely true. I have to go thru Montreal 6 times a year or so. It lets me drive like I stole it, just so I can keep up.

These are reasons why my friend's husband did all the driving when my hubby and I visited them in Montreal. We had to follow him back to the boarder and it was exactly, move it or loose it.
