i bought a elantra coupe manual w/o the nav.
3000$ i got to spend on my car and i want to improve the audio system. so far i would like to buy this head unit http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car...rs/AVH-X5500BHS i dont know if this even fits my car though. help on that would be great. For speakers i was hoping to use infiniti to replace the stock speakers. http://us.infinitysystems.com/product-deta.../ref6032si.html for an amp and hopefully subs that can fit my budget. i know someone who can mount subs low profile in the side of the trunks in the gap behind the wheels. would that be a good idea or the base be muffles when in the back of the trunk? -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Sounds like you've got more of a budget than most people when they first look at audio.
I've got an awesome system in my car right now that I love. Did it all for about $1,200. 7" touch screen, aftermarket component speakers in the front, coaxial in the back, all wired to a 4 channel amp. Also have a 15" kicker sub connected to a 1000w monoblock amp. Takes up 1/3rd of the trunk, that's it. Just do your research, find the right prices, read reviews, and you should be satisfied. Putting subs in the side trunk area is definitely recommended for space maximization, but buying a box is gonna cost lots of $$$. Even the materials for doing it yourself will... But that's your choice. As for the sound, it really wont be any different. Only thing that'll change is if you did ported or sealed. -------------------- 2008 Hyundai Elantra SE / Carbon Grey / Incus Body Kit / Sold at 98,400 miles 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Premium / Black / Current DD at 43,000 miles |

you can add a few more dollars to the equipment if you do the install your self. with 3g's you can do better speakers then infinity that's what my whole system is and if i had that budget i would have went with id,cdt, focal for speakers. for your headunit make sure it has features that you need and want then look up reviews on it same thing on speakers and an amp.
