Forte a Civic look-alike huh?, I don't think so... Options

Paul, I'm actually actually not being defensive. I honestly find it remarkable that you, or anyone, see this as a Civic clone. I just don't see it.

I'm sorry Mitch, but I have to agree with Paul. Every time I see a Forte or a Civic from the front, it takes me a second to determine which car it is. No doubt they look very different from other angles, but the front ends certainly look related.

Ironically guys, a car is more than it's front end. B) It's sort of like those who say the HD is a Corolla clone based on similar rears.

If you look at the pic of the Lexus IS I posted, couldn't you say from the back the Forte and that car look similar? All cars are derivative. All I'm saying is those who simplify things by saying a particular car is a clone of another car are thinking in generalities. You are, in a way, belittling the design skills of Peter Schreyer and his team.

This is the quote from Autoblog that I totally agree with:

Bottom line is, I guess people see what they want to see.
