Unfortunately, there isn't much power to be gained NA from the beta- there are many posts on this subject on the forum if you search... however, some mods that many of us have done that yield respectable results are a cold air intake, a more free flowing muffler, and a throttle-body bypass. Headers don't do much for our cars, and you'll 100% get a CEL, and its all but impossible to do anything with the computer.

Our cars do respond very well to suspension mods though, so I suggest you check that our first! Good luck!

A free flowing muffler will give you better HP, but not much more.

Are you saying you have a turbo muffler? I can't understand what you wrote.

Pretty sure he meant a muffler isnt going to help with out a turbo, what he didnt mention was getting a turbo to work with the beta2 is not easy.

From what I've gathered he wants to stay NA though.

There isn't an easy way to get much more out of this engine aside from nitrous or something like that. You don't need a turbo to gain a few ponies with a high flow muffler. You shouldn't expect more than 5 HP with it though.

CAI with the throttle body coolant bypass is a good start. Pair that with a high flow muffler and that won't net you more than 10 HP.

Just not really a tuner friendly car.

Dont go aem save the money and do the accord intake search for the year i got mine for like $50 shipped you will have to cut it in a few spots but worth the money. you could also do a bored out tb here is where i got mine done http://www.maxbore.com/ . and yes the xd does take suspenison mods very well might not be able to get a ton of hp out of it but you can make it handle like a gocart.

^ this.

Get the Accord CAI. I think the one to use is from around the 04 model year. You can stick an AEM filter on the end of that and you're set.

yeah hyundai already did a decent job getting power from this 2.0L n/a if you dont want to go turbo which few have successfully then a better muffler and cold air intake help also the tb coolant bypass and maybe later a lighter flywheel will help rev faster in low gears if you have a manual making more power from the engine without turbo gets pretty expensive too also in lieu of more power you can reduce the weight to make the car faster keep the junk out of the trunk get a racing battery remove the fender air intake resonator these cars have pretty soft suspensions that you can improve a lot so theyll handle pretty good especially with larger wheels like 16 or 17 that are not too heavy and some good tires dont skimp on tires theyre very important.

Not to sound like the grammar police, but it would really benefit everyone involved if posters could learn proper usage of periods (.) and commas (,).

It confuses the bejesus out of me when I read run-on sentences with several points.

Holy thread revival.

I'm going to guess he was on a phone when he typed up that response because Cobas usually types well.
