Are you trying to add subs to your stock head unit?

YEs. I am trying to tap into the factory harness so i can use a sound tap/splitter for the subwoofers. I have full power for the system, just no sound. If you want to send me a msg, you can at: redknight84@rogers.blackberry.net . I will respond right away.

Actually I think it would be better to post here. That way others who have similar questions can learn from the write-ups.
With regards to the line out converter, I am only familiar with using the unit that I provided in the link. I saw you wanted to connect down by the B pillar? Is there any reason for that? I personally would use up near the plug of the stock headunit. Just remove your headunit and study the plug. hmaservice will provide you with necessary diagrams/wiring for it. Another question is how is your amp turning on? Do you have the remote wire connected to something? -------------------- 2008 Hyundai Elantra SE / Carbon Grey / Incus Body Kit / Sold at 98,400 miles 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Premium / Black / Current DD at 43,000 miles |

i have tapped into the fuse for my non-existant heated seats for my remote turn on. the cnnection on the lower b-pillar was advised by my buddy who works at a hyundai dlr. Is there any other connection in the rear hach area for the elantra touring models?? Yes, I agree about the learning side. I am new to Hyundai units, so anything here is definitely a learning experience for me.

hey. how does the head unit come out of the dash?? i have the 2 security keys and a small pik that came with the car. I am stuck at this point. Everything else has been run for the stereo. If you could respond here and shoot a quick email to me, that would be awesome. this way people will still learn and I can do the car at the same time.

I would tap into the wiring behind the head unit. I would use the front speakers for the tap not the rear.
The connector and pins are such - So you would need Connector B Front Left + = Pin 3 Front Left - = Pin 7 Front Right + = Pin 2 Front Right -Pin 6 -------------------- |
