I found a local guy who has quite a few Tiburons. He is giving me a pretty decent price for one sway bar with bushings and endlinks, but I was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in doing a group buy. He would probably give me a better price if I were pulling multiple.

I see that you're in Indiana, what part? Do you have part numbers for the sway bars? There were several different thicknesses used in different option levels of Tib. Also, can you give a rough figure on the price he quoted you, and maybe an idea of what the deal would be for the group buy? How would you intend to handle shipping should someone want one delivered? I'm just asking questions to help you find some more interested members.

I am hoping that I can get 19mm bars, if atleast 18mm bars, but he has a large selection of cars. I am getting $80 for the bundle, and I am not sure of what he would do for a group price. I was trying to see if there was interest for me to give him how many bars I would be getting in order to get his price. As for shipping, I would ask that people pay for their shipping, and I can use whichever carrier works for people.
Also, I don't see there being a huge difference between the 18 and 19mm bars, but I could be wrong. They both seem like a good upgrade for an elantra. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

The general consensus is that the difference between the 18mm and 19mm bars is hard to distinguish. The 19mm bars were the hot item because they were the largest diameter OEM replacement part, but the 18mm is a huge upgrade over the stock Elantra bars no matter how you slice it.
To anyone out there who hasn't done this mod: as a former 2004 GT hatchback owner, this was the most significant upgrade I did. Once I installed this bar, I was wishing that I had done it the day I drove it off the lot. It made the car feel more stable in every driving condition. I felt safer driving on mountain roads and with any load in the car. Even with two passengers just driving around town, the car felt safer and more planted on the road. The installation took ten minutes max, and that includes jacking up both sides of the car. I highly recommend this to any 2001-2006 Elantra owner. -Roy -------------------- |

Yep, the best mod you can do to your car. Even on stock suspension with the bigger bar, it was like a new car. This was the first year i drove in the snow with the 19mm bar. Its so much fun doing lift off over steer in the corners. Made the car faster to drive on the ice. Even if your not into that kinda driving, i would still install the bigger bar.

School got crazy on me, so I have not been able to get any parts. I am probably looking at going down mid may.
