Looks sweet. I like how it is just smoked and not blacked out. I like how its not shiny like without the tint.

Looks really nice. Personally I like it in this shade. Too dark will get us a ticket very quickly here.

Several questions
Was it easy to shape, assuming you used a hair dryer.
How's the finish texture, is it smooth and can wax be applied to it?
Is there enough material for the MD models.
Link?

I've always wanted mines just a shade darker and this looks perfect.

Looks good, just the right amount of tint. Personally I would go a little darker but Mitch you got just the right amount to look factory.

It doesn't look factory... definitely darker but it's not a blackout cop magnet.

As far as the application, you need to be patient, I f'ed it up a couple times 'til I got it right. That's why I bought a big roll. laugh.gif

Texture-wise it feels pretty much like the stock taillight and yes it can be waxed.

Get two rolls like this and you should be golden:

Ok, here's a hi-res pic in the sunlight... that's sexy as hell IMO. drooling.gif

Note: Please click to view the full version to really get a good view.

Normally, in sunlight those tails would scream "bright red". This is sweet. Best cheap mod ever.

I like it, A LOT! Smoked has a much better look than blackout.

IMO you should ALWAYS be able to see the reflector doing its' job, and that looks like it does it nicely.

Tom, that is a fantastic point about the reflector. And indeed the tint I applied allows the reflector to do it's thing.

I doubt most people with blackout tails even realize the negatives.
