This is a good looking spoiler for only $105 painted and free shipping. Looks pretty similar to what Amanda has on hers.

how hard is the install? im assuming with this type you have to drill holes in the trunk? it came with directions to install it yourself. however i had a shop install it because i didn't feel too confident about drilling holes in my brand new car. -------------------- "You drive an elantra, I drive an elantra. Installing this wing would test your patience and imagination as the trunk lid double-wall brings up a number of challenges. The last wing I installed was on a 92 Civic, and it took me just around 30 to 45 minutes to install as the wing mounting points were outside of the trunk lid double wall. This wing has its mounting points inside the void of the double wall and installation took me almost three hours. The biggest challenge in installing the wing is trying to keep the mounting bolt, lock washer and flat washer from falling into the void behind the double wall. I tried using surgical or plastic hose to guide the bolt through the outer skin mounting holes, but the size of the hose required enlarging the mounting holes - which I did not want to do. What worked for me was to put a dab of hot glue on the flat washer and the bolt threads to prevent the flat and lock washers from falling off the bolt. Next, I hot glued the screwdriver tip to the bolt to prevent the bolt assembly from falling into the void when screwing the bolt into the wing. Other than this, the wing blends well with the car. For a price that`s a third or a fourth of what the dealers are charging, I can live with that double-wall. I`d like to know how the dealers do it (maybe the factory original wing has its mounting points outside the double wall for ease of installation, but I doubt it). Maybe that`s why it costs so much at the dealership!

Love the looks of this one! I've been dropping hints at my husband for one since it hit the market!
I would also have a body shop do it as drilling in my new car would be comparable to a cat near water on my nerves! -------------------- |

Does this spoiler have a 3rd break light in it?
From the pic on e-bay it looks like it, but it doesn't say anywhere that it has one. If it has one I think this will be my first addon. Thanks for anf info. Don. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Yes it does. The thing though is the spoiler is shipped with the third brake light unmounted. You just have to drill two holes in the spoiler for the light mounting screws and fish the wire from the inside of the spoiler. The kit has everything except for rubber grommets to put in the trunk lid holes where the brake wire is to pass through to prevent the hole edges from slicing into the wire and causing a short. No big deal: you can get two of those from Home Depot or similar stores.
