Hey all,

I purchased a 2014 Elantra Sport because I was looking for a 4 door sedan, and liked the features that came with the sport (larger displacement motor, push button starter, sunroof, leather heated seating,
6 speed manual trans) and the dealer I purchased from had it on a special offer that I couldn't refuse. I am wondering about interchange parts with other trim levels. I love the looks of the coupe front end.
Is it possible to purchase the bumper cover/grille/foglights etc. from a coupe and install them on the sedan? If so, will my current headlamps work with this front end? I was also disspointed that the sport
model did not come with the technology package. I don't really care for the bluelink setup, but I would like the OEM navigation head unit. This also is paired with an amp that is situated on the right hand side
of the trunk...and the xm+ gps antenna. Anyone ever attempt to retrofit a sport with these modifications? I would also be interested in an auto dimming mirror with homelink setup, but many posts online have
pointed me to the manufacturer that Hyundai sources from, so OEM swap isn't as crucial here....Anyone had any success here or am I going to be the first to post about this topic?

Welcome to the Club! I'm not sure just how much interchangeability there is between coupe and sedan, but I would imagine that some of the interior stuff would work, provided it fits the opening. I think you might be the first here to give serious consideration to some of these mods.

As for the exterior, I think there might be enough differences that there isn't a direct swap possibility. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, though...

I'm pretty certain that the front pieces are interchangeable aswell as taillights. The head unit should be interchangeable aswell.

I'm going to give the front end parts a go. I noticed that the GT front ends hood is shorter and the bumper cover makes up the difference, but like you stated the coupe v sedan bumper cover looks to be identical around its periphery. If the fog lamps mount directly to the bumper cover then it should be smooth sailing, possibly different wiring harnesses but that wouldn't make much sense from a manufacturing standpoint. Has anyone found any resources concerning wiring diagrams? The head units should be a direct replacement (again for ease of manufacture) but I don't think the sport model has any of the wiring to the amp that the tech package includes in the trunk...Im also a bit concerned about compatibility with the steering wheel controls. I would assume that it runs off a bus system and that may throw bone in the mix as far as all the peripherals functioning as they should.

The main concern I would have is the wiring for the audio to the amp. I remember us with XD2 wanted to install auto-climate but the wiring wasn't present in ours as found in overseas models so we just couldn't swap the headunit. I would check on the wiring first since you would have to buy it new or find one in a junk yard and gut out all the wiring for it.
