I have been having some minor back problems and I have been using the seat/lumbar warmers during my hour-long commute. The lumbar warmer is awsome, but the seat warmer is too much. My butt generates all the heat I need. Does anyone know how to disable the seat warmer and still leave the lumbar warmer functional?

I believe the pads are both attached via the same electrical wiring for sure. It might be one whole pad. Not too sure.
The one big thing I know is that's not an option to shut a portion off and any mods to get it done involve major upholstery work and replacement spring clips and in the end the warranty on your elantras electrical work will be void.

I don't think there is going to be an easy way unless you are comfortable ripping the seat apart and playing around with the wiring. I know what you mean though, the seat part gets real warm while the back is more of a moderate heat. My wife uses her seat warmers in the Entourage when her back is bothering her (kidney problems) and her's do a better job of heating up the back.

Hey-you might be able to find the seat/seat back warming wires by removing the seat. They may have separate connectors. Or they don't. The dealer might be able to assist you on this.
