Forgive my noob-ness lol but the seats in our 2012 GLS seats look horrific and I'm hoping there's a relatively easy way I can do this myself. For my older Saturn Ion I removed the seats and washed the seat covers in the washing machine but I don't want to do that with this car.

in the past we've rented a rug doctor to clean the carpets in the house... and the cloth in our tan elantra.

I agree surely a rug doctor would be useful in removing those stains another is by steam cleaning.

I've only ever seen them in grocery stores and haven't looked long enough to see how they'd work for the seats. Car floors would be the same right?

Yes it will clean the floor. if you rent the Rugdoctor you have to spend an extra ten dollars or so for the oppolstry attachment.
I bought the portable rugdoctor for about $100. It works fine on seats, carpet, floor mats, and small stains in the house. I've done about 20 complete interior details with it over the last couple years. No problems.
