From time to time I'm going to post links here to the history of ElantraClub. It might be fun for new members to check out and bring back fond memories for our long time members.

Long before I had the member showcases, I had Members of the Month. Here's our first Member of the Month page:

Remember RonsRallyRedGT?

http://www.elantragtclub.com/id141.html

Here's an interesting topic started by ClintGT (in the thread the "GTMan" referred to is me) from our old EZBoard forum:

http://thehyundaielantragtforum.yuku.com/t...NDAI-EGT-STOLEN

I went back and looked at some of the site comments back at the archive and I forget how many times people gave me props...

http://thehyundaielantragtforum.yuku.com/t...rs#.URP1W4ajg_y

What was different back then that made members appreciate "GT Man's sheer will and commitment to making this the best EGT site and forum on the Net"?

Ahh the good old memories. . . Another story I remember is when the one member went to get in his car at a gas station and a lady started flipping out at him asking why he was trying to steal her car. Then after making a huge scene and having the cops come it was realized her "identical" car was parked a few pumps over. Ohh man, just thinking about it I have to laugh! laugh.gif

Hopefully I have the facts right as its been a while since I've read that. But I could just imagine being there. Had to be a funny scene when she realized it WASN'T her car.

I thought it was Ron. When I clicked on your link about Ron I was actually expecting to see that story. Yep that's the one though.

Best part of the story "Gas was 1.29" ohmy.gif

Scott mentioned this in his comeback thread so I thought it might be an interesting read. This is the "Tim" (LateAPXR) he was referring to...
