pics to come this afternoon. I had a hockey game to attend this weekend and didn't get any chance to take pics. I am also going to try to get a full underneath shot when I help my buddy swap springs on his corvair at the garage.
EDIT: couldn't get them. too dark out now to get good shots. will do tomorrow during lunchtime. This post has been edited by kevinatfms: Oct 21 2013, 05:35 PM -------------------- 2003 Elantra GLS 5 speed

took 2 at lunch of just the engine bay. car was too close to the wall to get the rear shot. I will try to get over to my garage to take pics of the underside of it all. EDIT: don't know why they are upsidedown....that is weird. This post has been edited by kevinatfms: Oct 22 2013, 08:00 PM -------------------- 2003 Elantra GLS 5 speed

Looks good so far. What brand header is that?

Its an OBX 97-01 Tiburon header. It came with the midpipe but looking at the exhaust they didn't use it. Got the header/midpipe combo for $65 shipped. Bought a new exhaust manifold gasket from rockauto for like $6. Everything turned out good, except the exhaust note. Its way to raspy for me and I don't think it sounds good. I may buy another style of glasspack muffler to stick in the middle as the resonator I bought doesn't seem to quell the "buzz" noise.
Im thinking a perforated core, instead of a louvered core resonator this time. Also I am going to go with a much longer one, the Jones resonator I bought was only 17". Im thinking of a 23" or 26" glasspack now. I want to remove as much sound as possible but keep the flow up. -------------------- 2003 Elantra GLS 5 speed

I added a Dynomax/Thrush glasspack ( $16.45 with discount code from advance ) to help smooth the sound out and make it a bit quieter inside the car ( V6 MX6 with Raven dual chamber/dual exit muffler ) , worked well . May help with yours as well . Nice overall .

I think the OBX header has more to do with that buzz.
What kind of battery is that? -------------------- |

I have just purchased a 28" perforated core resonator to install in the midpipe area instead of the 17" louvered design. It should quiet it down a little more and reduce the rasp even more.
As for the header having the buzz, I only hear it at the muffler. I know what you are talking about as lots of thin walled headers make the buzzing sound but this is definitely coming from the midpipe/exhaust setup. battery is an odyssey pc680 with mount. -------------------- 2003 Elantra GLS 5 speed
