I have a 2010 Elantra Touring, want to get a performance header for it, but cant find one for a 2010 Touring, also need a header that has upper and lower for exhaust sensors, can I use a Elantra performance header from a different year on my Touring, will it bolt up, and not having a cat on it will it throw a CEL, let me know, Thanks.

Whatever header you use will need to have a cat attached, or a cat as close to it as possible. Putting both O2's in the header will always through a CEL. THe rear sensor is checking to see if the cat is working. Since aftermarket headers do not have a cat, that sensor will always think the cat has failed.

With that out of hte way, A header is worth very minimal gains on the Beta engines. The stock mani-cat configuration is actually quite efficient. Without running a full exhaust and high flow rear cat, what minimal benefits a header would provide are lost. Equally, if you've not opened up the intake side, the header isn't going to net any gains as you're not pushing more air.

Lastly, with the way the Beta is set up and the way the ECU's reprogram adding all the mods (full intake, header, cat, second cat delete, full 2.5" exhaust) those benefits will only last a short time before the ECU reprograms. You'll need a tune to make it all work correctly. Even with that, because of the cam designs NA mods are just not as beneficial as most other cars.

A lot of people just relocate the second o2 sensor to after the second cat.
