Hi all, just wondering what would be some recommended mods to get on my 2014 elantra 4 door sedan GL model.
I was thinking about perhaps upgrading the stock air filter to a K&N one. I also read up on here that getting a cold air intake can also help with getting a few extra horse power.
Im just hopefully looking to slowly increase the performance and horsepower of my elantra over the new 2-3 years, I know they're not the best cars to even mod but any recommendations or links would be much appreciated.
Also, would you recommend getting mods installed at the dealership or at a shop?

kn panel filter u can do your self.

couple of DIYs at link at top of screen can be applied to you car as well with small changes and alterations

dealerships usually wont help you modify car... many independent shops may though

get a plan of what you want your vehicle to be... and start from there.

Oh no, I'm so sorry... the correct answer is The Moops.

Welcome to the club! There will be minimal options to increase the HP on the stock Elantra engine, but an intake and exhaust will help and make it sound nice. I have a K&N intake on mine and while there isn't any real noticeable differences in power, it sure makes it sound nice when I step on the gas.

You can certainly work on the suspension to help with handling. Lighter wheels, stickier tires and upgraded shocks/springs will make the car handle much better!

I have tried looking up on the K&N site for a cold air intake for the 2014 elantra and there seems to be none available yet,
does anyone know of any other makers for a cold air intake for a 2014 elantra?

You can also look for a 2013 as well. A good option is just a K&N drop in filter.

K&N drop in + extra ducting to stock airbox works great for a first mod. i used to use 3" gutter tubing and 3" speaker ports and cut a 3" hole in the grille and plumb the tubing into the bottom of the stock airbox. This is about as good as a cold air kit but keeps the factory appearance.
