Hi everyone,

Over the weekend I changed the speakers in my FD i30. I thought I'd put a quick guide together to help anyone out that is thinking of doing this themselves.

I'm sure this is a basic exercise for most people, but just in case you think you can't do it yourself, have a read!

My advise.... well worth it and only took 3 hours to change all 4 speakers and install tweeters in a SX i30 (no tweeters)

Great job Dean. thumbsup.gif Since there are people who don't do .pdf files, I've converted it into .gif and added it to ElantraWiki as well. Enjoy.

Haha... I dont think I would even trust the magnet to hold a take away menu on the fridge!

I see where Hyundai saved 1kg in weight!

Sorry for the double post. From what I have seen of the speakers on the GD / MD I think they use the same crappy speakers so the upgrade should be similar apart from the door removal.

Hi every one. I'm a happy owner of a bran new 2016 Gt GLS Techno, royal blue. So far i just love the car. It is
actualy my third Elantra. Like i always did every time i buy a new vehicule, the first thing i do is changing the
sound system. This time it's diferent, i will keep the oem radio, since it have all the fonctions that i want, plus the
rear view camera, GPS, etc 7'' screen..... Meanwhile, i want to upgrade the oem speakers. I'd like to know if
anyone has only upgraded their speakers without adding an amp, just with the custom radio. The other question
i'd like to ask is this, should i leave the tweeter on since i will put some coax 6.5 speakers? Anyone has done this?

Thank's in advance.
PS: excuse me for my bad English, not my first language.... biggrin.gif

Hello everyone, totay i changed the factory speakers for some 6.5'' CS65 coaxial kiker. It is like night and day compare to the OEM cheap
paper made...I didn't have much hope about this one since alot of people on other threads were saying that it was not Worth it
the result exced my expectations. The base is much more powerfull, and the high's espacially on the back doors is alot more clear.
It definitely Worth it. Remember, i didn't change the GPS factory unit, and the result is great! Those kiker's sound great, fitted like a
charm...The only thing i want to warn others, is about the rear doors. There is a round insert on the door panel itself, when you try to
mount the panel back, it does't clear the speaker. Just take a good utility knife, cut the excess plastic suround to give anough space
between the two parts. No such thing on the front. The 2016 model are a little different, the two screew are in the hanle insert and the
arm rest on both rear and front doors. No need to take the handle off. The speaker frame hold with some rivets also. Hope this will help
Others. Bye
