Hi, my name's Arman, I'm a student at Red River college studying accounting in business administration. I recently financed a new 2014 Hyundai elantra gt gls in misty green, which to my surprise i recently found out is a canadian exclusive color. Pretty neat considering I put the deposit on the dark silver, but it was already sold to someone else and i had to choose this color.

I love the panoramic roof, and more importantly the six manual gears of freedom. I had a crappy 5spd honda accord that was falling apart before this, which was written off from a hit and run.

So far I have 35% tint all around. Very shortly I plan to buy a fujita intake and stick it on the stock hose with the top lid off, as well as a free-er flowing muffler. I need to find the intake hose and stock muffler inlet/outlet diameter.

I notice the back end is slightly wiggly over the sh!tfaced potholes we have in Winnipeg and other bumps and things, so I plan to throw a couple of KYBs in the back as often recommended around these parts here.

I forgot to mention that I'm just waiting to install full set of component speakers (they're a brand made by klipsch). I have an amp board set up, just in the process of figuring out the wiring work. Ultimately there will be a 400 watt rms 4 ch amp powering the components and a 200 watt mono block that will power a couple of sealed 6 x 9 woofers in the hatch.

Welcome to the club and congrats on the new car! I did a writeup when I installed my subs in my GT which may help you as you upgrade your stereo. 2013 GT Stereo Install

Yes, I absolutely still love the Pano roof. One of the features that really sold me on the GT when it first came out. It's been a great little car and fun to drive.

Welcome.
I've read pumping the rear tires a little higher than recommended helps with the rear end handling.

I would say this is the first 2.0l md car on here. My question is how do you lime the extra power?

Hey slowgls! I believe the chassis code is GD and not MD. My butt dyno approves this car lol, but I need to do a few things asap:

- turn eco off
- adjust the dead space in the gas pedal
- clutch delay valve delete

With those things in place I feel like a newbie at driving standard. My 07 vw rabbit coddled me, but not as much as this car.

Sounds like you have great plans for the car, and I especially approve its manual gears of freedom laugh.gif
Fill in your garage as you go; I like to see a work in progress!

thankss, added my first 'mod', and im feeling blessed cause if I got a 2013 model not knowing about the engine difference, i know i'd be kicking myself later on.

Haha nicee, i have fond memories of that car, it was really a unique torque-y beast with the 5 cylinders and all. and the exhaust sounded so exotic.

Hey-Really enjoying my '13 GT. Plenty of zip. I like to drive "fast" sometimes in my other car but have no issues with how quick the Elantra goes.

I'm interested to hear what they do for economy. The new 2.0GDI is making almost identical power to the 2.4L Theta II in the SX. While it's fine at steady state cruising, in town the economy goes to hell in a hand basket faster than a VW CEL can light.
