I drove a '13 model that looked just like that. It really was a nice car. The 2.0T has some get up and go for sure.

What you're seeing is the factory intercooler for the turbo. The Veloster has one in the same spot.

Congrats on the new ride! Saw a new Sonata yesterday and I think I prefer the styling of the prior model. I loved my 2011 Sonata and it wasn't even the turbo, so I'm sure that will be quite fun!
