My question is if this type of wheel will fit in the elantra? i mean will they look like off the car, or will they look within the car measures (looking at the car from behind or front)

am i clear enough?

Elantra MD wheels can fit up to 20" I got 20" on mine.

For 18" wheel I would go for 18"x8" offset 45+, tire 225x30-35-40(up to you)x18" the store should be able tell you which one is fits.

The offset for the 2012 Elantra is 53mm. ...

I have been looking for a good source of OEM data, particularly with respect to wheels. May I ask where you found that table? Is the offset you quoted the same for all wheel sizes and constructions? Does your source give other data, like tire load specs and min/max offsets (or alternatively, wheel well and strut clearances)? I'd appreciate any pointers to OEM data.
