Installing p&p Beta 2 cylinder head, 1.8 pistons and rings. Also doing main bearings, connecting rod bearings since I already have the engine apart.

Hell yeah. Can't wait to see this done. You need to get this car back on a dyno.

Yesterday I changed the front driver's side door. I have a 04' GT parts car I bought for $200 with no rust, but was totaled. My door was uber rusty. I repainted the "new" door and made the swap. Had to do some minor wiring to accommodate the stereo and lighting I had in my old door. Also had to change out the key cylinder and add new sound deadener. The paint match is pretty darn close. I just wish I knew where to find the pin-striping that was put on the car when it was repainted.

I cannot explain how much more quiet my car is from the inside. The door shuts tighter and there is NO wind noise. My old door had gotten pretty bad.

You can find pin stripe tape at most automotive paint suppliers. Sherwin Williams, Napa, PPG, ect... all have dedicated stores that only sell autobody repair materials. I've also seen some pin stripe tape at Autozone and Advance. Although it's a much smaller selection of colors and thicknesses.

Got a new lower grille and a purge valve at a u-pull yard. Old grille got knocked out by something bouncing along the e-way and disappeared. New grille is installed; purge valve would be, too, but one of the hoses tore. Worst part is, I had a hose just like it in my hands at the yard. New hose from O'Reilly will be installed when I get home.

Good call. I went to a local paint shop and they had the EXACT stuff. But, it was $28 for like 150' roll. I only need enough to do a door! I'm going to look online, but at least I now know what I'm looking for.
