GROUP BUY!!!

Rules of the road: This thread is for order business only, NO QUESTIONS. If you have a question, please post it in http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16234 so we can keep this "business thread" uncluttered. Right now we are looking for commitments; We will keep the group buy open until July 16 (when I get back from vacation) and then place the order. See below to see what information need right now.

I've been talking to atlwteboy240, trying to ask all the questions other members may want to ask. The decals will be produced by atlwteboy240 at his family's sign shop in Marietta, GA. For individual orders, the prices would be:

1- 6" decal------$5.00
2- 6" decals----$10.00
1- 12" decal----$10.00
2- 12" decal----$18.00

If we get a group buy of at least 10 decals total, he will do them at these prices:

1- 6" decal------$4.00
2- 6" decals-----$7.00
1- 12" decal-----$8.00
2- 12" decal----$15.00

These prices include a donation to EClub for each purchase.

Not everyone in the group buy has to get the same size as long as there is a minimum of 10 decals... can be diffrent sizes and colors (but the same design).. The colors that will be offered to begin with are:
. red
. navy blue
. royal blue
. white
. forest green
. silver (this is the closest to the "etched glass" of the last group buy)
. grey
. teal
. orange
More colors may become available.

The design of the decals is as follows (same as last group buy):

We are looking into a larger banner-type decal; details will be added to this post when they are available.

To buy a decal:

Provide the following information:
1. Size(s) of decals
2. Number of each size
3. Color (from list above)
4. Outside (normal), or inside (reversed)

Payment will be by PayPal, details will be announced shortly.

If I could suggest something... if the image is a positive image, it goes on the outside of the glass. If it is a backwards image, it goes on the inside. I would imagine that it should be pretty easy to reverse the image to provide for the options.

i just want to update this...

it has been brought to my attention that when you buy 1 12" in the group buy you get a $4 discount and when you but 2 12" you only get a $2 discount... prices are changing insted of the 1 12" in group buy being $6 the will now be $7 and insted of the 2 12" being 16 they will be 15...

now there is a $3 diffrence on both of them....

any morequestion feel free to ask..

as of now we have 9 people... i figured it up and so far thats $87 and i figure at least $50 of that will be sent to mitch.. some people ordered 6" and 12" so i cna ship them together and save on shipping... once i start cutting these i will be sendkng them as i cut them most likley i will just make about 25-30 6" decals and about 20 12" so i should be sending out to the people who only ordered 6" first (since thats wat im cutting first.) then ill send the ones who ordered both 6" and 12"....

Please don't be to anxious about paying; I want to make sure we get all prices and stuff straight before any money is sent, so that everyone knows what they're paying for and there is no confusion.

Another update. It was pointed out that the group buy prices were not consistent, so they've been updated. If this adversely affects you, please bear in mind that the amount above and beyond the cost of producing the decals is going right back into the supporting the site.

OK I am still interested but it involves a look at my garage. In it you can see an exterior picture of the back hatch glass on my car. There is a window width Hyundai with a lazy H logo on each end of it that I would like to replace in as it is cracked and peeling. Is it possible to get another made and do they have a high heat resistant material this can be done in. I live in FL and the heat took it's toll on this one. Let me know via PM or here

I've been busy lately since I got back from vacation, and I had a tooth pulled today. I did email atlwteboy240 and he says he's ready.... look for something in the next day or so. I need to take some pain meds and get to bed right now though.....

Sorry for dragging my feet, and thanks to everyone for your patience. It's been a little hectic around here and my brain has been hurting too much to even want to think about this (in the last month, we drove 3500 miles on vacation, the following week my son totaled his car, and then I got a tooth pulled and broke my toe on the same day!)

The last PM I got from atlwteboy240 said something about shipping being more than he thought (maybe because the decals are oversized?) Anyway, I want to make sure he can do this for the prices quoted, then we will post an email address for PayPal. I want to make sure everything is settled up front before any money changes hands.

Announcement:

I am pulling out of the group buy. As far as I know, atlwteboy240 is still willing to make the decals. If he, or someone else, would like to take over the role of organizing the buy and taking payment, then the buy can proceed. But I am no longer running it.

yes i am still in this.... im going to see if mitch will take all payments by pay pal and send me just what i need for the cost of vinal and for shipping.. every thing else will be for a donation for the site....

ill get a list of people who confirmed that they are still in for the buy from doohickie..

for every one who hasnt already told him, just send me a message and let me know..remember we have to have at least 10 decals for the group buy.

To be honest I read the first post and find the whole ordering process a bit confusing. I think we need to simplify it. Obviously this is only going to happen if 10 or more people do it so the group price will be in effect:

1- 6" decal------$4.00
2- 6" decals-----$7.00
1- 12" decal-----$8.00
2- 12" decal----$15.00

I also believe everyone here wants the etched glass look or "silver/gray" color that was mentioned in the first post. To simplify again, only offer that color.

Then it's a question of whether the decal will be normal for inside use or reversed for outside mounting.

That way members just need to say how many they want, what size and whether they want regular (inside) or reversed (outside). I think that would be a lot less confusing. My .
