Its becoming clearer that Kia is to be the sports branch with Hyundai the up market branch.
So will there be a Kia version of the tiburon?

...the cee'd xR is powered by a new turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder from Hyundai...

Interesting.

Another here:

http://aol.whatcar.com/news_article.asp?NA...05&type=autocar

"Turbocharged engines would be aimed at Europe and supercharged engines at the American market because of different customer demands," the source said.

Engine possibly related to this I read in a C&D article, "Like its predecessor, the Evo X will get a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but it's a new, all-aluminum design, part of Mitsubishi's Global Engine Alliance with DaimlerChrysler and Hyundai. Power is expected to increase over the current car's 286 horses..." confused-scratchhead3.gif

Dodge is already using a turbo global motor. It's the 2.4L Theta with a Dodge twist.
