My niece's 06 Elantra's wheels need to be repainted. Does anyone have any suggestions what works best? I know Rust-o-leum makes a "wheel spray paint"....

Also need to know what was the stock finish? Flat Black? Semi-Gloss?

thanks in advance,
Steve

I believe Oem is semi-gloss. I like the Duplicolor wheel paint, I've also had good results with Rustoleum wheel paint.
If you prep the wheels properly both will last a long time. I sprayed my wheels with Duplicolor caliper paint over 3 years ago and it's held up great.

I agree. When I painted my wheels I did a couple of coats of self-etching primer, then a few coats of color, then 2 coats of clear. Has weathered the last 3 years pretty well.

I found the Dupli-color Engine Paint in low-gloss black to do quite nicely. couldn't find any "wheel paint" locally.

thanks everyone for their help, her ride looks MUCH better now.
