Hey everyone,
I'm setting up a Hyundai/Kia meet this aug. *Possible meetup at the Hyundai Kia tech center (to show our love and appreciation/ideas). *Hines Drive Cruise *Participation/driving during the dream cruise. *Meet and greet with fellow elantra and other Hyundai and Kia owners. Its planned on the 20th of aug...which is dream cruise weekend. Depending on hood count...we could get a sponsor or two for some goodies. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Hmm maybe we could get something going with Ben and join up with the cruise or have the cruise stop at his place. Oh and Ben we need an update in your thread on details and times for your party.

I can provide that update... I will dig up that thread in a moment.
The H/K tech center isn't that far from the party site, but I don't know that there'd be a lot to see/going on there. Unless we ran into my dad, who test drives cars for them out of there. There's also no real convenient way to get from one to the other without going right through downtown Ypsi. I think it'd be great to have a bunch of folks from the club come out to the Roast. Let me get on that update!

Well the tech center meetup is just for some ppl to see where things happen at. I did something similar with a meetup in Alabama at the Hyundai plant. Makes for a cool group pic.
The Hines drive cruise is about a 7mi drive through a park....45speed limit so it's not creeper pace. Plenty of places to stop and chill out for a sec. The dream cruise...well just google 'Woodward dream cruise' and see. Basically for those who don't know. But over all it a gigantic cruise down a stretch of Woodward...old school...new...off the wall cars will be there. So far we have about 5 confirms from tibs...3 gen coupes 2 accents, 1 Veracruz. I'll have more details next week. But the date is pretty much set. Just starting to put an itinerary together now. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

Set the Hyundai/Kia meet for August 19th in Detroit Michigan at Belle Isle Park.
Meet is set for 3pm. This will be the official meet. Reason being the dream cruise is gonna be super packed. And well...it's semi last minute...and a little late to try and 'rent' out a parking lot where we all can be together. For those who know about the Woodward dream cruise...they know parking is a ::insert ur word here:: BUT...for those who want to we can still hit the cruise he next day if ur not from too far out. But as far as this meet goes... AUGUST 19th 2pm Belle isle park, Detroit Mi --well meet just past the basketball courts and baseball fields.-- Kick back enjoy some drinks, maybe toss some hot dogs n stuff on the grill. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

yea, since it's on the Friday I won't be able to make it.
