Something like this Dynomax might be a good choice on the cheap... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-17763

I had a Dynomax Super Turbo on my 04 for six or seven years. I liked it. The tone was barely noticeable at idle or normal driving RPMs, but when you stepped on it you could hear a nice smooth low note. Plus it was small enough that it could be tucked up under the bumper so you couldn't see it from behind the car.

No, sorry, I don't have any media to back up my claims. But I swear I had it and I promise I liked it!

The Dynomax and the Borla sound almost identical. I've had both (currently running the Borla). The problem I had was CNY. Rust would eat the Dynomax is no time flat, whereas the Borla is SS (plus I live in PA now where the salt isn't nearly as bad).

I could post a clip but it's on the V6 MX6 so you wouldn't have a accurate idea what it would sound like on your car..... You tube is where I " listened " to try and find the right sound .
