Double din will bolt right in, but will loose your bin tray.

Not sure it's going to be that simple, looks like I need to get another facia as mine is a fixed single mount din.

See below

That's quite a bit different from ours here in the U.S. Our HVAC units are not as tall as yours, so the stereo and attached bin make up a double din.

I don't know what the plug looks like on the back of your HVAC unit, but you could pick up a used U.S. HVAC on eBay if the plugs matched up and fabricate a fascia for it? That looks like your only option for a double din! Sorry it's such a pain sad.gif

Here is what our HVAC looks like;

If you decide to fabricate something and the plug on yours matches the one in the picture, let me know. I have a spare HVAC you can have. Hopefully shipping wouldn't be too awful.

Thanks Genenator I think you are right, I have been looking at options all day and can't find anything even after market fascias for rh drive just don't exist.

So if I want a double din my only option is to look at your sugestion and do some mods to the fascia, not real keen on that but if the HVAC plug is the same as mine I think it would be the easiest to cut of the lower section of the fascia from a US model and plastic weld to my top section, I think that would be the neatest aproach. Tomorrow will check the Hvac plug and go from there I guess. Cheers thumbsup.gif

Nope that won't work Us fascia doesn't have the grove that the AU models do and because they are reversed won't fit anyway. angry-hitselfonhead.gif

I think I have found a solution maybe.

If I go back to a 00-01 GLS they have the same type of dash that the US has through all there models I think.

The only problem is I probably will have to replace the air flow ducts and possably some wireing not sure yet as I haven't seen in person
and I am "ASSUMING" that the fascias are the same shape and can simply be swapped bar the air ducts and maybe some wireing.

Top pic is my dash and you can see the difference between the both but hoping to get away with it as the bottom pic I found looking
for cars online to establish if I could get a fascia that could support a double din mount and well YES it is possable, I hope.

It would be great if one of the members here that have the bottom dash configuration could measure the inside of the rectangle opening if
you know what I mean( the spot the head unit sits as this will be the crutial part be fore I go anyfurther. Cheers
