I'd also be very tempted, especially with the -20 for VIPs. It is something I wasn't planning though, so it's going to be a treat to myself...
Oh yeah, any idea how much tension it would take to shear that bolt?

According to the spec lists I'm ordering from:

Bolts are 18-8 Stainless and will handle up to 70,000 PSI.

Bracket and bar material yield at 16,000 PSI.

Please, by all means, don't believe me in that post I just wrote, because everything I say is myth and a product of my imagination, and WILL result in the destruction of your own vehicle (according to some).

I got a working on brackets Monday and they're about 3/5 done.

Headed to the shop to work on them some more tonight.

Lol...I don't know about tears [other than others' tears of joy to hear that the project is still moving smile.gif ] but I can personally attest to blood and sweat being shed for the project happy.gif

I thought I was done with them about a year ago.... but it has taken a little longer.
Many have been waiting since before I started this project February 01, 2006. whistle.gif

Getting clooooser...

I have the brackets 95% roughed out. another 30min on the band saw and they'll be ready for filing and grinding and sanding.
