Wow I was a busy beaver today!

Cleaned and reinstalled my K&N Apollo Filter
Changed spark plugs (NGK Iridiums)
Tried to buff out the cloudiness in my headlights
Cleaned my interior
Put on new wipers (Rain-X)

My next project is to do my crazy detailing to get ready for the contest.

well I didn't do this today, but yesterday I finally got around to hooking up ground wires for the amps, and fixing my front speaker wiring.
Tested things out with a camcorder that I had - which was the only audio output device I had handy... well I found out that the amp gain was up full and almost played the higher brown note... and nearly blew my ears out... was like someone had an air horn in the car with me... needless to say I figured that out quickly after pulling wires out. Took me 10 minutes to stop shaking.

Today I picked up some more wiring that I'll be doing tomorrow night after bleeding my brakes with my friend - was going to do it tonight, but other things came up. So I get to tear part of the hatch apart ... again! More to come on that.

Also today - found out through PM that I've been here 2 years!! And on top of that I've had possession of my 03EGT for 2 years!! Man the time flies.

I'm painting my antenna. The stock black paint has come off near the base, I'm repainting it black.

Forgot to post it.

The other day I finally got around to running the wire for the Aux input from the rear of my radio. Got majorly frustrated then did some research and found out the Pioneer manual is wrong.

It states the radio will automatically detect an Aux input. Wrong. You have to turn on the "Aux" function.

Now I can listen to my audio books in the car and while I walk on my break at work without jumping from CD to Mp3 player.

For those with an XD2 with no Airbag light on the dash, I made a backet so that my ipod mounts on the dash and is easy to navigate while driving. the bracket easily pulls out of the card holder

In the next 2 weeks I will be doing some paint repair on my car. Paint is very thin and has several chips. Repairing those and going to reclear the entire car with at least 6 coats of clear before wetsanding. After wetsanding, 3-4 will remain.

I am using a new kind of paint, a water borne erethane enamel. Water borne paints are thinner and do require more coats, but can't be applied over solvent based paints. The car has to be blow dried (with heated air) at 140 degrees after each coat.

Well a little while ago I installed an ipod dock into my ashtray and after much work I find out the @#$ ash tray doesn't eject far enough for my ipod to fit into the dock so now I have to go back and do some more dremel work to see if it fits. And today I installed the KDM mirrors. Mmmmm blue.

I drove mine the usual 100 or so miles to/for/from work, like I do every day.

Friday, she'll hit 100K (I bought it at 55K in early March last year; do the math!).

On Sunday, I replaced the front brakes... cuz they was singin'!

Last night, drove out with a friend for Nachos at Montanas. Nothing exciting with the car, but the food was alright!

Changed the oil (really needed it) and gave it a quick wash. Also rinsed the battery terminals with some backing soda.
