Hi everybody, first post here. I will get my brand new Elantra Touring GL 2011 tonight. Though I did 2 road tests before buying, I would like to know what rpm range you're getting at normal highway speed.

Define "highway speed?" That ranges from 55-80 legally in the US, depending on location. That's a pretty broad range.

A lot of it will depend on whether you're getting a manual or automatic transmission.

Auto Transmission, normal speed at or just above 80 on highway is about 3200, for me. In PA.

Thank you all for your responses. Did some highway this week-end and the engine revs at 3000 at 108 km/h (manual transmission). This is such a great car for the price!
