While I've done some underhood stuff...ground wires, short ram... a bunch of suspension stuff... Tib rear bar, RRM strut bar, 16" Wheels and Falken Tires... and exterior stuff... added updated GT badges a lip spoiler, shorty antenna....

My main thing I really enjoy is the whole interior theme I have going on. The interior was the one area of the car I felt was drab from day one. So I decided to make it look better... well at least for my taste anyway.

I was the first one I know of to add a brushed aluminum dash kit to the car. As a matter of fact half the different EBay sellers seem to use my pic...lol I then added the Tib Aluminum pedals (also one of the first to do so). since then I've added stainless steel "Elantra GT" door sills, added a custom leather E-brake boot and leather handle, added a Razo leather shift knob. Put in a short shifter. I changed my clock color to a cool blue to match the purple/blue gauges. Added chrome door handle trim, chrome tweeter rings, have cool black satin seatbelt pads, replaced my stock '02 deck with the '04 Kenwood MP3 deck... I think that's all I have on now! lol Oh yeah I did a little hi brake mod... is that the interior? confused-scratchhead3.gif I also have the OEM GT mats, cargo tray & net.

There were some things that didn't work out like the chrome air vent covers but I think my interior has the classy Euro sedan look I set out to achieve:

Actually my car is a museum. I have several on staff cleaning people who dust and stuff daily. I should've included a pic of the red velvet ropes around the car and the huge glass case it sits in. Drive it? 676.gif You kidding me? rofl.gif

Mitch it looks great, I like the dash and door sills the best. Where did you find those items?

Ron,

The dash kit is from Sherwood Dash of Canada. I got it off a guy on EBay who no longer sells there. But you can check Sherwood's site and they may have other dealers listed. The sills were from a guy in Canada also... I believe his email is: jasonhyundai@hotmail.com

you get a 9 out of 10

this is why, you need to get the final piece of the kit, the under Radio door, you can maybe paint it. also you are missing the HVAC matching colors groucho.gif

Looks great

I gotta say, I've never been a fan of the stick-on kits, but it fits your theme well. I lvoe the sills, tweeter rings, pedals and door handles. The seatbelt covers are a nice touch, as is the blue clock and the trunk net, cargo tray. All very nice, all very tasteful. A solid 9/10.

Well....I like it I think!

I'm not so sure about the stick on dash kit, I think it's got to be a matter of personal taste! It appears more silver opaque than it does brushed aluminum, but that could be the pictures making it look like that? The pedals and footrest look like brushed aluminum should to me!

But the silver door sills look really nice! They belong!

And the clock is the same color as the gauges. Is that an option? I would have got it if it was!

Nice Interior!

The clock was a custom DIY project Mia. Unfortunately the '04 and up Elantras use a different clock and this mod cannot be done. As far as the "stick on" dash, have you ever seen a high quality one in person? They're not some kind of "sticker" as a lot of folks believe. Mine is a thin piece of brushed aluminum coated with a thick layer of resin which protects against sun fade. The resin coating kinda takes away from the pics. In person you actually see the "brush strokes" on the aluminum through the clear resin. It's backed by 3M acrylic adhesive which allows it to fit more or less permanently. Believe me, it looks better in person! And it's not something inexpensive, either. All the pieces I have cost over $250. sad.gif

I would never say it was cheap! Sorry..it's just hard to see the aluminum under the resin I guess in the pictures!

Did I offend? Sorry!

Offend? Heck no...lol

I was just about the first one I know of online to put a dash kit on a GT and I hear this all the time about "stick on" kits being crappy looking. Funny thing is 95% of those folks have never really seen a decent fitting, decently installed kit. To me, the aluminum look just breaks up the monotony of the GT dash...a weak point especially on the '01-'03 models.

It's just a pet peeve of mine. You're cool! thumbsup.gif
