Ah, good memories with the Sedona, lemme tell you... my wife and I got married basically on a cruise out of Miami, but we were too cheap to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars for limos or a limo-bus to transport our guests around from the airport/hotel/port/etc.... so we rented three minivans: a Caravan, a Freestar and a Sedona - I drove the Sedona and other friends piloted the other two and we ferried our friends around for a day before the cruise. At one point someone who shall remain unnamed left early for the port with a half-empty van, leaving 8 people and 8 people's luggage to fit in our Sedona. It wasn't comfortable, probably not safe either, but FYI you can fit eight angry people and eight large pieces of luggage along with a lot of cursing in a Sedona. Good choice.

I found the link to the dash swap. It has pics & part numbers. I was a bit low by half on the price though sad.gif It is a shame the board is so quiet over there but there is also info on DIY oil changes with pics from the same member there too.

thats a good looking van

My thoughts exactly. I've heard horror stories about those Chrysler transmissions. Can't remember if ours went bad when we had them, but you definitely made the right choice.

Oh, and I think as far as value for your money goes - you definitely got the best deal here. Hell, you even got wood grain. Wouldn't you have to get a Town and Country for ~$40k to get wood grain in a Chrysler?

While we are talking transmissions, at 27K, the Kia is due for a service, and flushing the trans will do it good.

Actually, it's not due until 30K, but yes, it will get new tranny fluid as well as a coolant flush and an oil change.

BTW; those Lambda oil filters are quite messy and are located on top of the motor. Dealer only on those things.

Yes, I know but they are not hard to do at all, just different. Here's the procedure for the 3.3L in the Sonata. It's the same for the 3.8L in my Sedona:

No, I'll still be doing my own oil changes.

Only difference between the 3.3 and 3.8 is the heads. Same block, trans and same PCM.
