just one question-- i think you should be able to receive paypal payments regardless of how the sender tells paypal to withdraw funds.  i.e., i should be able to paypal anyone with a paypal account, drawing on my bank account or credit card.

That's what I think also. A guy here at work says it shouldn't matter what method I use since I'm sending you cash! I know you said it was a personal accout but that shouldn't make a difference.

I'm quite reluctant in inputing my bank info online.

Can Personal accounts receive credit or debit card payments?

No. In order to reduce the cost of processing expensive credit card transactions associated with accounts that do not pay fees, the ability to receive credit or debit card payments is reserved for Premier and Business accounts.

Any credit or debit card payment will be held as "Unclaimed" until the recipient accepts it by upgrading to a Business or Premier account, or denies it (if payment is denied, the funds will be returned to the sender's PayPal account).

Personal accounts may still accept non-credit or debit card funded payments though limits will apply to certain payment types.

To set up a PayPal account yo have to give them your bank info. They make two small deposits and you use those ammounts to verify the account ... at least that was the way it was when I set mine up.

I'll take an International money order in US funds though.

Personally I prefer the plastic as it's easier to deal with and will probably hold up better over time.
