I wrote up my experiences here:
http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php...367&hl=snow There's also a general snow tire thread here: http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php...20mode&st=0 Whether unfortunately or fortunately, there hasn't been much snow this winter to gain experience. -------------------- A proud member of the club.

I have the limited with Tech Package, it handled sufficiently in the snow with stock tires, I'm fortunate that Iowa City didn't get the shitstorm that we got last year because I know it would not have handled well. I will be getting snow tires for next year as the low-profile 17" tires do not grip in the snow like my old car did. I don't know where you're from, but it all depends on the way that the snow falls, if it falls where you get ice then snow, it'll be horrible regardless of the tires on your car (unless you get studded tires).
If you don't want to invest in snow tires, wait for a small amount of snow and see what the limits are compared to what you are used to, I found there to be some pretty serious limits to the grip on the road, it could also be the feel of the car as I was not used to the electric steering. -------------------- Warning: Dates in the Calendar are closer than they appear.
