So me and my dad test drove a base model today and i kinda liked the car. The interior was very nice, ride was the best part of the car not to hard but not to soft were you couldn't feel the road. Imo thats the best thing about the car. The 2.4 gdi engine was kinda disappointing, below 3k it felt very blah, but over 3k is were it wanted to go but then the 6speed shifted. Maybe i just wasn't used to a new 6speed, idk. Other than that its was a great car. Made my dad, a civic driver, a believer. All in all not a bad car and worth the money.

Auto or manual? We drove an auto EX and the auto+2.4GDi was a great pair IMO. I absolutely LOVE the new Optima.

Auto, didnt know they made i stick. Ok i guess they do for the ex but not the sx turbo.

I told my dad (works at a Hyundai dealer) that the Optima has more attractive sheet metal compared to the Sonata. Just my personal opinion, but I may have lost my family discount after a comment like that.
