Here's hoping all our members from the Southeast made it through the storms OK. I've never seen anything that wild since we moved to TN. We ended up taking shelter with everyone in the laundry room for an hour or so last night when one of the worst storm cells blew past. No damage for us thankfuly since the cars were inside. Many of our friends lost glass on thier cars and homes due to the hail. I'm sure the insurance adjusters and body shops will be busy for a while.

Here's a pic off the local news site of some of the hail.

That's insane. Never heard of hail actually breaking glass.

Holly %@%#

I hope this is all covered under insurance!

If not - there's always - Rocket
Who does fabulous work!

Although in Australia - im sure he's got good pointers for any people you know who had damage.

Good thing for garages.

Yeah the insurance industry will be very busy in the southland for the next year or so. What a mess, glad to hear you're alright.

That's crazy! I saw the storm system coming in - I was in transit in Atlanta at the time and I was very happy to get out before it hit... That said, I don't think Atlanta really got much more than some thunderstorms in the end.

A couple of planes at TYS (Knoxville Airport) were damaged and taken out of service by the hail. Almost all the car dealers on the 'motor mile' sustained major damage to vehicles. Its a mess but far less devastating than the pics we are seeing from Alabama.

Here's a slideshow from the local paper...

4-27-11 Blount County Storm Damage
