I did not like the original version with the fake exhaust sections but this one is not to bad, just gives you that cleaner touch if you do not plan to do any exhaust work out the rear.

Has anyone install a hitch on their 2011 Elantra? I think I saw
in the manual that it isnt recommended for towing. But I
am considering it for accessories like bike racks and cargo racks.

I don't have a truck for the first time in probably 20 years,
and I'm having mixed feelings about it.

I plan to put a hitch on my wife's minivan to tow the
boat and snowmobiles. I will probably get a hitch mounted
bike rack for getting to the local trails with the kids.

That got me thinking that a hitch on my elantra might be
just what I need to help get around some of the things that
bother me about not having a truck. If i use one of the cargo
racks then things like getting gas for the mower, hunting
( if I get more than a half day in the woods), and things
like getting fertilizer for the yard won't leave either car smelly
or a mess.

I'd also prefer a hitch style bike rack for use on the elantra
rather than something rubbing on the paint.

Just for those that might be interested, I ordered the WeatherTech Digital Fit Floorliners, black. When I first got them I was a little worried, but after fitting them in the car they are perfect. Called and talked with sales rep about 2nd row and the trunk liner. The 2nd row is about 6 weeks out and the trunk 8 weeks.

OK, I'm going to push it a bit as a Newbie, but didn't want to (necessarily) start a half dozen threads. Basically I'm looking for some info on a variety of projects over the next 8-12 months.

1. Anyone know the part number or other details to the heated seat switches in the limited? I'm looking at having the cloth GLS seats retrofitted with a heater element (local shop) but I would like it if it could use the factory switches. Ideas?

2. Someone with the limited (I'm guessing), what are the two knock outs on the trunk lip (besides the lights) for? I'm guessing one is a back up camera. The other? On a similar note, anyone know the part number for the OEM camera - thought of linking it with a rear mirror monitor.

3. Does anyone have any experience with SharkRacing's Fog light kit?

4. Thinking of putting a Basslink in the spare tire well. But just in case, where else (how else) would people think about mounting their Subs? (just looking for a bit fuller sound, don't need to scare the neighbors).

anyone removed the tail light and head light assemblies? if so any help would be appreciated.

So I decided on some hyper black rims for my silver car, there are 18x7.5 or 17x7's, just wondering what you guys would suggest. I'd like to get 18's but not sure if they would be too big....I mean the stock elantra comes with 17's so not much of a point in buying 17's really, I have the stock steelies which are 16's but why settle with 17's? Anyone know if the fitment would be ok? Was going with 225/40/18 tires... Let me know!

As the Avante has a lighted side view mirror on the bottom, could the Elantra get this add on bulb? The mirror has a spot for it.

Well got the lid spoiler in. Have to have it painted as they do not have the RN paint code in Korea. Still the spoiler is of exceptional quality. Trust me the ones I got for my Maxima were crap! It is at the Body shop being prepped and due to be painted later today.
Damn desert bronze color.

At least the tinting was done flawless.
Once I get the right offset confirmed on the rims, I have a set picked out. Still do not know if I want to lower it.. but I am leaning towards it. LOL!
