Hola Amigos,

Though I have been a member since I got my car in November, I haven't been terribly active on this forum. I am hoping to change that (I promise)! However, if I may make a suggestion that one or more of the Mods could think about?

I have been very much involved in the car scene here in Ontario for a few years, this will be my third season of judging at two of Ontario's biggest shows; and I was hoping there was a way to get Sub Sections for us Canadian members, like what the Americans get?

My ideas are as follows:
Quebec & The Maritimes (with stickies for regular meets done by whomever wants to organize them)
Ontario (stickied in to Ontario East, Ontario Central/GTA, Ontario North, Ontario South/West)
Manitoba & Saskatchewan (same as Quebec section)
Alberta & British Columbia (same as Quebec section)

This way it's easier for us to keep track of when local events are, and where local meets happen.

Again, just my two Pennies (well not in Canada anymore, so I guess my two Nickels?)

Thanks for thinking it over EC Team

CEGT

We've had a Canadian section since Day 1 of this forum. As far as sub-sections, we just don't have enough activity within the forum to divide it up.

I realize what you are saying... that the US gets it's own sub-forums by region, but even those aren't crazy active.

We just aren't busy enough to warrant the sub-forums at this time. I'd even venture a guess that the vast majority of our Canadian members are in the Ontario area with some in Quebec and a few out west.

One thing we could do is make sure we pin topics related to meets.

Ok. I know that the forums are a tad lackluster in terms of use, hopefully by spreading the word it can grow to be busier. I am compiling a list of events that are going on this season, so I'll post there and add to it as I get more info.

That would be great. I think one thing EC lacks is people (members, mods) getting the word out that this is a pretty good place for Elantra owners.

Do you supply stickers that we can buy? In the past, when I've had stickers from other clubs/forums displayed on my car, it's made people ask "Oh what's that?" or "Who's that sticker from?" which then gets the ball rolling. I've also got a good reputation as my local dealer, so maybe I can have them spread the word as well whenever they sell an Elantra to a customer that is like minded in terms of our passion for cars and such. They're also on board with an Event featuring Hyundai/Kia products, I tried to get the guys on H-F interested but most wanted to stay in Toronto, so maybe I'll try here and see how many are willing to go for a drive to show off at a charity BBQ up here. Takes work, but it can happen if people are dedicated enough.

We've had etched glass decal group sales here many times by different people.

I think club moderator slowgls may still have some of these available.

I'd keep an eye on Ontario Central/GTA Meets and such, and try to make it when possable.
I get out on my motorcycle more when weather permits, and often see the Classic Car Meets and stop for a look.
I'd like a decal or two too.
Who's got some for sale?
